I lived in Seoul.
There were too many things to remember, so I put some here to keep them safe.
is that cute little peice of shit saying it loves me? Or is it saying something else? And why is it that this is not the only cute peice of talking shit I know of (mr. hanky of course being another shit talker). What does this mean about where culture is heading?
So funny! Firstly, according to what my friend translated for me, the poo on this card is saying something to the effect of "don't push too hard." It's some kind of idomatic phrase to wish you luck on your test and telling you to be careful when you answer the questions. Secondly, this culture is into poo and farts. Their version of "pull my finger" is "push my thumb," as if your thumb is a lever. There is a children's tv show where the main character farts all the time and on a game show I was watching they had cartoon characters of the guests (male and female)that farted their way up the steps to the next level. I don't know what the deal is. It seems kinda juvenile, but I guess pee-pee-poo-poo jokes are still kinda funny even if you're not four. I got a kick out of the poo and Mr. Hanky is pretty funny, though gross, as well.
i am laughing so hard i am crying right now... thanks for the morning chuckle
